Watch Which Certificate Authorities Your Domain Authorises

CAA records let a domain publish which certificate authorities may issue certificates for it. An unintended edit can block a legitimate renewal or broaden the list beyond your approved policy. CAA Record Monitor retrieves the published records for configured domains and compares the authorised issuers and parameters over time.

Security and infrastructure teams can use the monitor before certificate renewals, during provider migrations, and as part of routine domain oversight. When a value changes, the event shows what was added, removed, or modified so the responsible team can compare it with planned work. The product provides visibility into the public policy signal; it does not request certificates or interact with certificate authority accounts. That narrow scope makes it a useful companion to SSL expiry and certificate-transparency monitoring.

Digital delivery and access

This is a digitally delivered monitoring service. After successful payment and any required order verification, setup instructions are delivered electronically. The purchase includes 12 months of access for one authorised monitoring target unless the product page or order confirmation states otherwise. There is no automatic renewal.

Clear service information

The monitor reports public CAA data and does not guarantee that a certificate authority will accept or reject an issuance request. Customers remain responsible for correct DNS policy, certificate-account security, and renewal testing.

Monitoring must only be configured for websites, systems, APIs, domains, servers or other digital assets that the customer owns or is authorised to test. Results reflect the configured checks and third-party network conditions; they do not constitute a guarantee of uninterrupted operation.
